Underwater Forensics Investigators is a team of some of the top experts in all aspects of Underwater and Surface Maritime Operations. Our team members are not weekend, recreational, part-time participants. Each one is a seasoned professional who has acquired a lifetime of knowledge and skills. Each team member has achieved the highest level of success in their field and their knowledge is the most comprehensive in the business.
UFI was founded by Tom Maddox, a seasoned diving equipment and diver training expert with over 45 years in the industry. Tom is a PADI Master SCUBA Instructor and A NAUI Instructor. Tom saw a need to provide expert consulting on all matters underwater, and what better way to do it than to gather the best experts he knew. Each one has built a lifetime career in their specialty and are ready to provide you with the most reliable information and professional presentations that you can rely on.
Our team members have overseen expeditions to the deepest areas of our oceans. Our founder was the co-pilot of the Russian Submersible, MIR 2, during the 2005 International Titanic Expedition to over 12,500 feet of depth. Our team includes the former supervisor of the FBI Dive Team, the retired Supervisor of Diving and Salvage for the United States Navy, and a leader in the commercial diving industry as well as the pilot of the famous Trieste II submersible. Each and everyone brings a unique and proven expertise.
